We all know the pop culture phenomenon that is Guitar Hero (hell, my 10-year-old nephew — decked out in a Guitar Hero t-shirt — tried to lure me into an ass whooping on the game this weekend), but now hip-hop is getting the same treatment as rock n’ roll with its own game, Activision’s obviously-titled DJ Hero.

Family first… at least that’s what the conservatives believe in. And this weekend so did I, so when I could not make it to the superawesome Roots Picnic (thanks to my peoples at two.one.five magazine and The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corp. for the tickets), I thought it best to send a hungry young blogger who I know is always ready for a road trip (damn, I miss those days) .
